Biography
Xavier Leon grew up in a small farming town in the Salinas valley where he
spent his summers digging in the dirt and exploring the Pinnacles National
Park with his 6 siblings. It was these experiences that drew him towards a
career in geology that he has been fostering since he was a child. Xavier is
currently a Geology major at Cal Poly Humboldt with his ultimate goal being
to obtain a PhD in Economic Geology. By joining the EarthScope Program
and spending his summer studying critical minerals in New Mexico Xavier is
one step closer to achieving his goal.
