Biography
Dulaney Boonsue is a rising junior at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. Inspired by the outdoors, she is working towards a B.S. in Geology with a concentration in Solid Earth, with the goal of pursuing a master’s degree in either Glaciology or Volcanology. As an outdoor adventure guide, she hopes to be deeply involved in field work in order to continue fostering her appreciation for the natural world. This summer she will work to model the surface deformation and stress changes caused by the Westdahl Volcano on Unimak Island, Alaska, while additionally examining the role of rheology, load, and temperature on deformation models.
